Ahh, fall weddings...They tend to be one of the most sought after seasons by couples-and for good reason! While we've seemed to completely skip the fall season here in Iowa and fast forwarded straight into winter (yes friends, we had a lovely blanket of snow to celebrate halloween), today we're going to reminisce in our beautiful and fleeting fall. The natural beauty of the trees and grasses shifting to their warm tones, the hint of the cool, crisp breezes in the air, and the cozy warm feelings spent snuggling together and spending time with treasured friends and family-there's no question that an autumn wedding is what brides dream of!
The flower designs were inspired by the gorgeous fall color tones and textures found here in the Iowa fields. Even with the rich tones of fall, we wanted to keep the bouquet light and airy to compliment the stunning flowy blush colored lace and tulle bridal gown. Sweet smelling "white o'hara" garden roses tied in with the dress perfectly, and kept the bouquet light and bright. The bouquet and flower crown even featured locally harvested amber maple leaves and dried corn husks for that unique harvest texture!
Pops of unexpected vibrance came into play with beautiful, textural fabrics. Lush deep blue velvet table linens were paired with playful vintage chairs upholstered in rich mustard yellow velvet-which coordinated with the maple leaves perfectly!
I absolutely loved the finished look of the sweetheart table! It was cozy, vibrant, and eclectic-perfect for the couple who craves color at their wedding, but wants to break the mold of traditional seasonal fall tones-plus it was a wonderful spot for the couple to catch a sweet newlywed snuggle!
I'm ready for a snuggly sweater and a cup of spiced apple cider now...anyone with me?
