Winter in the heartland can be a rather dreary place. But inside the bright and modern event space at Walker Homestead, we were cozy and warm, and so inspired! Lindsay at Ivory + Bliss envisioned a textural minimalist look with warm neutrals. We absolutely loved this style, and created floral designs with a mix of locally harvested materials and refined romantic blooms. Everything looked right at home inside the white industrial styled barn tucked in the eastern Iowa countryside.
The bridal bouquet was modern yet romantic, and oh-so-textural. We used a mix of lush 'cappuccino' and 'sahara' roses, ranunculus, sweet pea, chocolate lisianthus, scabiosa, spirea, and pieris japonica.
The half arch felt refined and airy, rustic, and textural. It created a gorgeous frame for our couple against the clean white shiplap walls. An absolutely stunning backdrop for a modern styled wedding ceremony-and the best part-the majority of the materials were locally sourced!
