Ahh, here we are in 2022 and I'm writing about one of my last rescheduled weddings due to the covid 19 pandemic. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to finally see these couples celebrate their love with all their friends and family! Take Erin and Ben for example...I initially met with them in early 2020 for their wedding planned for spring of 2021. Well, as so many other events were modified during that time, so did their wedding plans. They had an intimate marriage ceremony, and made the difficult decision to postpone their wedding celebration to 2022. But the party was well worth the wait, and they had an amazing renewal and reception!
For their wedding design, they were guided by Ashley at Elowen Events. They were looking for floral designs that were natural and elegant. Mostly foliage forward designs added a fresh, crisp, and effortless look to the white space at Ashton Hill Farm in Cedar Rapids. Romantic florals in white and pale blue were featured in Erin's bridal bouquet, as well as a myriad of budvases that decorated the reception tables. My favorite feature from their wedding though? The installation of wild greenery vines that adorned the windows! It was such a unique way to create a backdrop for their vow renewal, as well as their head table during the reception.
