Modern elegance for Kaitlyn and Jake's wedding? Oh yes please. Their wedding venue, Eastbank in Cedar Rapids was decked out in style and gushed moody elegance and sophistication! And the icing on top? We created our signature Studio Bloom garden style floral designs in shades of champagnes, whites, and dusty greenery. The flowers added softness and romance to the crisp clean black and nude color palette.
In the usual 2020 style, this couple so graciously and patiently overcame multiple challenges thrown their way. Because of Covid 19, they were forced to make the difficult decision to postpone their wedding to a later date. And as if a pandemic weren't enough-the derecho-a horrendous "inland hurricane" hit Eastern Iowa on Monday prior to the wedding. Luckily though, their wedding venue was largely spared from the storm; shattered windows at the venue were boarded up and concealed with beautiful draping, and the power came back on a couple days before the wedding. They were able to get married and celebrate with their friends and family. I was so very happy for these two to be able to tie the knot despite all the challenges!
The lush flower palette consisted of garden roses, ranunculus, scabiosa, rice flower, freesia, eucalyptus, and jasmine vine. I absolutely adored her bridal bouquet! It was gorgeous and had an amazing scent.
