I had the pleasure of visiting Galena for the first time to design for Amanda & Aaron's colorful garden inspired wedding. Originally planned for early fall, their wedding was postponed due to the pandemic. We finally got to celebrate their wedding the next summer at the beautiful Ashton Hill Farm Galena. Believe me when I tell you that 'spectacular views' at this new wedding venue is such an understatement! Just take a look at the ceremony photos and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Everyone was all smiles the morning of the wedding, and it was so good to finally see everyone in person and celebrate this couple! Just based on what I've observed the past two years, I think going through the experience of a postponement shifts people's perspectives a bit. Once the big day finally arrives, there's such a sense of gratitude and joy from everyone involved.
I absolutely adored the floral designs we created for Amanda & Aaron. She wanted to achieve a romantic and colorful look, with lots of warm, cheerful tones and plenty of greenery. A lush 'illusion' arch framed the couple at the ceremony, and doubled as a great addition to the photography backdrop in the reception space. As for greenery, just check out those dramatic bridge arrangements with airy greenery vines across the guest tables! A total of 48 feet, these greenery bridges added so much drama and lushness to the space, yet still felt light and modern.
The colorful arrangements featured 'romantic antike' garden roses, 'cold brew' and 'quicksand' roses, white ranunculus, red amaranthus, white stock, and berry colored scabiosa.
